Went down to check out the Needles District of Canyonlands, and the adjacent national forest. There is also part of Bears Ears National Monument just before you get to the national park.
Cool grove of trees just near Newspaper Rock.
Just past this area is beautiful ranch -- heck of an isolated location, gorgeous land.
Canyonlands sure knows how to make a campsite! There is also extensive BLM campgrounds just outside the park.
There is also a lot of both formal campgrounds and dispersed camping in the adjacent unit of Manti-LaSal, but most of this camping is up around 8,000' which is on the high side if you're not acclimated (and I really, really wouldn't recommend over 10,000 until you're acclimated!!!)
Headed down to Monticello.
Rain just hanging out over the LaSals by Moab.
